T.rex Tuesday Makes a Wyoming Stop

Good afternoon and welcome to another exciting installment of T.rex Tuesday. We’ve been off for a few weeks while we got settled in in Colorado and got back to work. And already, this supposed Tuesday post has dragged into Thursday. So we’ll officially call it a Theropod Thursday post now. And for today, we’ll be taking another quick look at the University of Wyoming Geological Museum in Laramie. As part of their collection, they have displayed casts of the skulls of Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops, mounted against one wall. Though I am not sure of the exact nature of the T.rex, it looks very similar to the other casts of MOR555 “Wankel rex” that I have seen elsewhere. UofW’s close relationship with Musuem of the Rockies makes that even more likely.

If you go: The UofW Geological Museum is on the campus of the University of Wyoming in Laramie, WY. Check the website for times. It’s a little hard to find this musuem on campus, but when you do, it’s free.
